The programme, DFP, stands for Daily Fluency Programme. This is carried on in order to improve our fluency skills for speaking, reading, listening and writing.
In my opinion, it's sure to be useful for me because at the same time as improving my 4 skills, I can notice which area I'm not good at. It is absolutely important to know my weak point.
In fact, this lesson is not extremely hard but not easy either. Especially, referring to reading, if I had more time to read, I could read it out, got it more perfect tnan now and answer the questions more correctly. However, it is focusing on how fast or quickly I can read and understand it. So, I need a technique to read fast like scanning.
I'm always checking about what is weak for me rather than what is strong for me. Whatever is a bad score, I DO like writing!! Only when writing, do I not need to feel nervous.
scan and chunk simultaneously
ReplyDeletei don't know excatley whats the matter with reading we all have the same problem ?!!
ReplyDeleteanyway, i think DEP improve my english a lot.not only just the speed, but also the methods.
ReplyDeleteThat's correct Ritsuko. I feel the same about my skills which need to be improved. Talking about reading, I found it so hard the balance my reading spead and my understanding. I'll keep going with Erina's techniques :).

Hi Ritsuko
ReplyDeleteMe too I think The DFP improved my English in the last few weeks and I feel happy about it.
I find reading and chunking and absorbing the information simultaneously QUITE HARD. Every time when I finish the reading and turn to the next page, I realise that I didn't quite fully understand the article, actually. That frightens me.
ReplyDeleteYes, it can help me to notice my weak parts and my carelessness.
ReplyDeleteIf I had been careful the grammar of sentence, some of my answers wouldn't have been incorrect.
It's always a good idea to go back and review the reading again. The listening is also possible to review too as I have included all the URLs at the top of each listening question page.
ReplyDeleteI like your last sentense.Anyway, what you're talking about is absolutely true, I think. Moreover I like looking at the graph. I mean my how have I improved or declined these skills you mentioned.
